About Live 2 Mambo 2027
Warm welcome to Live 2 Mambo in Budapest, a two-weekend edition presented by The Dance House that brings salsa and mambo activity to some of the city’s most atmospheric venues. Expect late-night social dancing in grand rooms, daytime bootcamps and themed parties that reflect both the musical roots and the social warmth of mambo culture. Where you’ll dance The edition’s program confirms two main weekend venues: the Museum of Ethnography for the first weekend and the New York Palace for the second weekend. Bootcamps and carnival parties are scheduled to take place at the Museum of Ethnography, and the last day of the bootcamps will be held at the Anantara New York Palace. These locations give the event a strong sense of place, with large, historic ballrooms and public spaces suited to social dancing and evening parties. Workshops, bootcamps and shows The program lists intensive bootcamps during the edition, including bootcamp shows. A Thursday preparty at New York Palace is indicated as the stage for bootcamp performances, with participation noted as optional. The structure combines focused daytime training with evening socials so you can practise new material in a social setting. Social dancing and atmosphere Evenings centre on social dancing in historic, elegant venues, and carnival parties are part of the schedule, offering an opportunity to enjoy themed socials in a festive atmosphere. The mix of museum and palace settings creates contrasts between open daytime practice and formal, atmospheric night-time socials. Connections and community The edition is organised to encourage meeting other dancers through bootcamps, parties and social evenings. Optional bootcamp performances and the preparty in a central palace venue provide natural moments to dance with new partners, share learnings, and build connections across levels. If you want to experience mambo-focused workshops, focused bootcamps, and social evenings in some of Budapest’s distinctive historic venues, consider joining Live 2 Mambo. The program outlines clear opportunities to train, dance and socialise in settings chosen for their capacity to host both intensive daytime work and atmospheric night-time socials.
