Subscribe to event updates

Receive MySalsaHub news about upcoming salsa events.

How it works

  1. Find Get event updates on the homepage and enter your name and email address. City and country are optional.
  2. Select Subscribe. Your subscription starts immediately, without an email verification code.
  3. You can also select Email updates in Personal details and save your preferences.
  4. To unsubscribe from a linked subscription, uncheck Email updates in Personal details and save. You can also contact us for help or removal.

Newsletter subscriptions are optional and separate from email-code sign-in. Creating an account does not subscribe you automatically.

Open Personal details

Find an event

Browse upcoming events, search by name or destination and narrow the calendar to the dates that suit you.

How it works

  1. Open Upcoming events from the main navigation.
  2. Use the search field for an event, city or country.
  3. Choose dates when you want to focus on a particular weekend or period.
  4. Open an event card to see its programme, location, travel tools and available community offers.

Use Past events when you want to revisit an earlier edition.

Explore upcoming events

Save an event or mark that you are going

Build a wishlist for ideas and a Going list for events that are already part of your plans.

How it works

  1. Log in to your MySalsaHub account.
  2. Select Add to wishlist to save an upcoming event as an idea.
  3. Select I’m going when you have decided to attend. Moving an event from your wishlist to Going removes it from the wishlist; confirm the change when asked.
  4. Open My dance space to review My wishlist, Next dance floors and I was there.

After an event ends, an event marked I’m going appears in I was there automatically. You can also mark a past event directly. Changes to an existing Going selection ask for confirmation before updating your plans.

Open My dance space

Add an event to your calendar and plan the trip

Keep the dates and open the travel, accommodation and weather tools from the event page.

How it works

  1. Open the event you want to plan.
  2. Use Add to calendar and choose Google Calendar or the iCal download.
  3. Check the weather panel when a forecast is available.
  4. Use the flight and accommodation links to continue on the selected external service.

Calendar entries cover every day of a multi-day event in the event's local timezone.

Find an event

Create an account and sign in with an email code

Access MySalsaHub with a six-digit email code. No password needed.

How it works

  1. For a new account, choose Create an account and enter your first name, last name and email. If you already have an account, open Log in, enter your account email and choose Send sign-in code.
  2. Read the email, then return to the browser where you requested the code. Enter the six digits and choose Verify and sign in.
  3. Use the newest code within 10 minutes. Each code can only be used once; requesting another replaces the previous code.
  4. Alternatively, use a social sign-in provider when its button is available on the sign-in page.
  5. Open My dance space after signing in.

There is no MySalsaHub password to create or reset. Creating an account does not subscribe you to the newsletter automatically.

Create an account

I have not received my sign-in code

Check delivery, spam and professional email quarantine, then request a fresh code safely.

How it works

  1. Allow a short time for delivery, then search your inbox and check Spam or Junk. Delivery time depends on your email service.
  2. Check the address you entered. Use Back to log in to correct it, or Create an account if you have not registered yet.
  3. For a work email address, check your organization's quarantine or ask your IT team to check whether the MySalsaHub email was filtered or blocked.
  4. Wait for the Resend code countdown to finish, normally one minute, before requesting another email. Use only the newest six-digit code, within 10 minutes.
  5. Enter the code in the original browser where you requested it. If that request is no longer available, start again from Log in.
  6. If a security limit is shown, respect the displayed waiting period instead of sending repeated requests. If delivery still fails, contact support with the request time and email address, but never the code.

The request confirmation does not reveal whether an account exists and does not guarantee that the message reached your inbox.

Update your personal details and sign-in methods

Change your profile information, photo, preferences and connected accounts.

How it works

  1. Open My dance space and choose Configuration.
  2. Use Personal details for your name, photo, location and travel preferences.
  3. Save your changes and check the confirmation shown on screen.
  4. Use Connected accounts to manage the social sign-in providers available on the site.

Email-code sign-in replaces MySalsaHub passwords. Keep access to your verified email address and review the connection requirements before disconnecting a provider.

Open Configuration

Complete your personal and travel profile

Add the information used for your dancer identity, local suggestions and travel planning.

How it works

  1. Log in, open My dance space and choose Personal details.
  2. Update your name and profile picture.
  3. Choose your gender, city and country when you want these features to use them.
  4. Select your usual departure airport from the suggestions, rather than the destination airport of one event.
  5. Your saved departure airport pre-fills the travel planner on upcoming event pages, so you can explore travel options without choosing your starting airport each time. It does not book a trip or add you to a shared ride.
  6. Choose Save profile and wait for the Saved confirmation.

Gender and the preferred airport are optional. Gender is self-declared, controls eligibility for Women only groups and is not displayed on your dancer profile.

Edit personal details

Manage connected sign-in accounts

Add another secure sign-in method without creating a separate MySalsaHub profile.

How it works

  1. Log in, open My dance space and choose Account settings.
  2. Open Connected accounts.
  3. Choose Connect next to an available provider, such as Google or Facebook. Only providers enabled on the site can be connected.
  4. Complete the sign-in with that provider and return to MySalsaHub.
  5. Check that the provider now shows Connected before using it for your next sign-in.

Connecting or disconnecting a provider keeps your profile, roles and activity. Before disconnecting the last provider, you must have a verified email for code sign-in or another available sign-in method. Disconnecting also signs out your other sessions.

Manage connected accounts

Access Women only rides and stays

Understand how profile eligibility works for Girly rides and Women only accommodation offers.

How it works

  1. Open Personal details from My dance space.
  2. Set Gender to Woman when this accurately describes you, then save your profile.
  3. Open an upcoming event and visit its shared rides or shared stays section.
  4. Use the Women only filter when it is available, or open an offer marked Women only.
  5. You can request a place or create a Women only offer when your profile is eligible.

Eligibility is based on self-declared profile information. Your gender is not shown on your dancer profile. Administrators can manage offers when support is required.

Review your profile eligibility

Activate and access your dancer profile

Create your member-visible profile page, choose its address and open it from My dance space.

How it works

  1. Log in, open My dance space and choose Personal details.
  2. Find the Dancer profile section and turn on the Dancer profile option.
  3. Choose a unique Profile link using 3–24 letters, numbers or underscores.
  4. Choose Public or Private visibility while Dancer profile is enabled. Private profiles require you to accept follow requests before your activity is visible.
  5. Save your personal details to activate the page.
  6. Return to My dance space and choose View public profile.
  7. You can also open mysalsahub.com/dancers/your-profile-link, replacing your-profile-link with the one you chose.

Activate your profile before searching, following or inviting dancers; a private profile can use these features too. Only signed-in members can view dancer profiles, and private activity requires accepted access. Publishing a shared dance makes its names, comment and optional video link public, even with a private profile. Your email, gender, preferred airport and exact stay addresses are not published on your profile. You can turn Dancer profile off again from Personal details.

Activate your dancer profile

Find your way around My dance space

Home brings your people, upcoming plans and Salsa Passport together.

How it works

  1. Open My dance space from the main navigation. Home is your personal dashboard.
  2. Your people shows dancers you follow. A coloured avatar ring highlights an upcoming Going or wishlist addition made in the last seven days; hover or focus the avatar to see the available activity details.
  3. Use Review requests to manage follow requests. Open Shared dances to read or publish a dance memory.
  4. Next events combines your upcoming Going and wishlist plans in date order. On mobile, swipe horizontally through the event banners.
  5. Select a stamp to read its explanation, or Open my passport to view all milestones and your Traveler status.
  6. Use the left menu on desktop. On mobile, use the account navigation and More for additional pages, including Configuration and Shared dances.

An empty avatar circle is a placeholder, not another follower. Profile activation is needed to use dancer search and follow features, but you can still manage your event plans.

Open My dance space

Choose a public or private dancer profile

Control access to your dance activity without changing your account sign-in.

How it works

  1. Open Configuration, then Personal details, and find Dancer profile.
  2. Enable Dancer profile and choose a unique profile link before using its visibility options.
  3. Choose Public to let signed-in members view your dancer activity and follow without an approval request.
  4. Choose Private to show your dance activity only to accepted followers. Members can still find your activated profile and see its basic identity when requesting access.
  5. Save the change. Switching to Private does not remove followers you already accepted; manage those connections in My community.
  6. Turn Dancer profile off and save if you want to deactivate the dancer page instead of only restricting its activity.

Private visibility does not make a published shared dance private: its names, comment and optional video are public on the event’s Memories page. It does not give visitors access to the rest of a private profile. Deactivating either dancer profile hides the memory while that profile remains disabled.

Review profile visibility

Find dancers and manage follow requests

Search for familiar faces and choose who you follow independently from who follows you.

How it works

  1. Activate your dancer profile in Personal details, then open My community.
  2. Type a name, nickname, city or country in Find dancers. Results update as you type; an empty search does not list every dancer. Use the numbered pages to browse more results.
  3. Select Follow, or the follow icon on a dancer tile. Public profiles are followed immediately; private profiles receive a request for approval.
  4. Open Requests to accept or decline incoming requests, or Sent requests to review requests you have sent.
  5. Use Following for dancers you follow and Followers for dancers following you. Select an avatar or name to open a profile.
  6. After accepting a request, you may choose Follow back. Accepting alone does not make you follow that person.

Both dancers need activated profiles. Your own profile may be private. Sharing a dance does not require mutual follows. Identifying a partner is optional.

Open My community

Invite a dancer to MySalsaHub

Share your personal invitation link without importing your contacts or sending an automatic message.

How it works

  1. Activate your dancer profile and save a profile link in Personal details.
  2. If a search has no matching dancer, select Invite this dancer. Invitation actions open a popup when available.
3. Use Copy link, then paste the invitation into Instagram, Messenger or another conversation you choose. On supported devices, Share invitation opens the device’s sharing options.
  4. Your friend opens the link and signs in or creates an account. They can then choose whether to follow you.
  5. Review a follow request if your profile is private. You may also choose to follow the person back.

An invitation does not create an account, activate a profile, approve access or follow anyone automatically. The link includes your profile nickname. Cancelling the device share menu does not send it.

Find or invite a dancer

Share a beautiful dance, with or without a video

Publish a memory from a past dance and optionally identify your partner on MySalsaHub.

How it works

  1. Activate your dancer profile, then open Shared dances and select Share a dance. You can also use the heart action on a dancer’s tile; that partner is then fixed.
  2. Choose a past event you marked I was there. Your partner does not need to follow you or mark the same event.
  3. Search for a partner by name or nickname, or leave the partner empty if they are not on MySalsaHub.
  4. Write your memory in 3–500 characters. Emoji are welcome. Optionally paste a public YouTube, Instagram or Facebook video link.
  5. Select Publish this dance. The comment, video link, your name and any identified partner become public immediately, even with a private profile. Share only content you have permission to publish.
  6. Open a memory’s options to edit your own comment or video, withdraw it or report a concern. An identified partner can also withdraw it.

YouTube players appear directly without autoplay. YouTube may use cookies and must allow embedding. Private videos and disabled embeds may not play; Watch on YouTube remains available. Instagram and Facebook use direct links only, without a preview or embedded player. Old unpublished memories are not published automatically.

Open Shared dances

Unfollow, remove a follower, block or report

Understand how connection changes affect access and your shared memories.

How it works

  1. Select the Following action to open an unfollow confirmation. Unfollowing removes your follow, not the other person’s follow of you.
  2. Use a dancer’s additional actions to remove them from your followers, block them or report a concern. Blocking and reporting open a popup before submission.
  3. Unfollowing or removing a follower changes profile access but does not remove a published shared dance.
  4. To remove a shared moment, use Withdraw this memory in Shared dances.
  5. Blocking removes both follows and withdraws your shared dances. Unblocking does not restore connections or withdrawn memories automatically.
  6. Manage blocked dancers from Configuration, then Blocked dancers. Reports are reviewed privately by the moderation team; reporting alone is not a block.

Following a private profile again requires a new accepted request. If you want to stop sharing a particular memory without changing a connection, use Withdraw this memory in Shared dances.

Manage your connections

Read the shared memories of an event

Read dancers’ memories and watch their linked videos from a specific event edition.

How it works

  1. Open a past event and find Shared memories. The counter shows the published memories available for that edition.
  2. Select the counter to open the event’s Memories page. The event artwork, name and dates identify the edition.
  3. The main avatar and author name identify who wrote the comment. Shared a dance with identifies the optional partner.
  4. Use Read more to expand a longer comment and the page numbers to browse additional memories.
  5. To publish, edit, withdraw or report your own memories, open Shared dances from My dance space.

Only published, active memories with available activated participants are visible. A private profile does not hide a public event memory. Withdrawal, disabled profiles or blocking can make it unavailable. Photos and access to a dancer profile follow their separate sign-in and visibility rules.

Explore past events

Understand dates and your local time

Activity timestamps follow your browser’s timezone; event schedules keep their event dates.

How it works

  1. Requests, shared-memory activity and other account timestamps display using the timezone reported by your browser.
  2. The same action can therefore show a different local hour or calendar day for someone in another timezone. The recorded moment is the same.
  3. Check your device’s date, time and timezone settings if an activity time looks wrong. There is no separate MySalsaHub timezone preference.
  4. Event dates, all-day calendar entries and ride schedules retain their event or explicitly stated local timezone. They are not shifted like account activity timestamps.

Interface dates are currently written in English. A UTC fallback can appear briefly before the browser applies its timezone. Traveler status uses the Europe/Paris calendar year for consistent annual totals.

How Salsa Passport stamps and Traveler status work

Keep your lifetime milestones and earn a fresh Traveler status each calendar year.

How it works

  1. Mark the past events you attended as I was there to build your Salsa Passport.
  2. Dance floors stamps count your total attended events. Travel stamps count different countries across all years, including your home country.
  3. Open Salsa Passport to see all eight milestones in each category. Select a stamp to read its explanation and unlock condition. Earned earlier stamps carry an earned badge; future stamps are dimmed and locked, while your current stamp is highlighted.
  4. Traveler status counts one trip for each attended event in the current calendar year, even when several events are in the same country.
  5. Earn Ivory at 1 trip, Silver at 5, Gold at 10, Platinum at 15 and Diamond at 20 trips in the year.
  6. The event start date determines its year, not the date you marked I was there. Upcoming events and wishlist additions do not count.
  7. Your annual trip count starts again in January. Lifetime event and country stamps are kept.

Trips are based on published past events in your passport, rather than transport bookings or distance travelled. Regular nights do not count. The calendar year runs from 1 January to 31 December in Europe/Paris so your account and member-visible profile always show the same status.

Open my Salsa Passport

Find or offer a shared ride

Coordinate an airport transfer with dancers attending the same event and share the estimated cost.

How it works

  1. Open an upcoming event and choose its shared rides section.
  2. Open an offer to request a place, or choose Create an offer to host a ride.
  3. The host accepts or declines pending requests.
  4. Accepted participants can use the private discussion to coordinate the journey.

MySalsaHub does not collect payment. Confirm the meeting details and cost directly with the participants.

View your rides

Find a roommate or offer a shared stay

Request a place or publish accommodation for dancers attending the same event.

How it works

  1. Open an upcoming event and choose its shared stays section.
  2. Open an offer to request a place and introduce yourself, or create your own offer.
  3. The host reviews each request and confirms the participants.
  4. Accepted participants can see the private location and use the shared discussion.

The exact address and map coordinates are restricted to the host and accepted participants.

View your stays

Ask Hector

Use the MySalsaHub assistant to explore published events, rides, stays, organizers and event frames.

How it works

  1. Log in and choose Ask Hector in the main navigation.
  2. Start with a suggestion or write a specific request, such as a city, event name or travel period.
  3. Open a verified result card to continue on MySalsaHub.
  4. Use Clear chat when you want to begin a new search.

Hector is read-only: it cannot book, join, edit or contact someone for you. Always check current details and availability on the result page.

Log in to use Hector

Create a profile photo or Story with MyDanceFrame

Combine your photo with an event design in a square profile photo or a vertical Story.

How it works

  1. Open an event that offers MyDanceFrame and choose the frame action.
  2. Choose Profile photo for a 1200 × 1200 px square, or Story for a 1080 × 1920 px vertical image. Each format has its own designs and may not be available for every event.
  3. Select an available design and choose your photo.
  4. For Transilvania Salsa Fest, signed-in dancers can optionally choose Create my vampire look. Read the notice and confirm the action to send that selected photo to OpenAI for a one-time AI transformation.
  5. Drag your photo to position it. Use Zoom to zoom in or out, including below 100% down to 10%, and Rotate to adjust its angle. Zooming out can reveal the background around your photo.
  6. Use Change photo to replace your picture, or Reset photo position to reset the adjustments.
  7. Wait for the finished image to be ready, then use Save / share or the download action. Upload the saved image to Facebook or Instagram yourself; MySalsaHub does not post it automatically.

Previewing and downloading normally process your photo in your browser. The optional Transilvania AI vampire effect sends the selected photo to OpenAI only after you press its creation button; MySalsaHub does not store the source or generated AI portrait. If you explicitly choose Use as profile photo, the finished square picture is uploaded to your MySalsaHub account, not to Facebook or Instagram. This option is not available for Stories.

Find an event

Save a creation on iPhone or Android

Save or share your finished profile photo or Story, with a download fallback for browsers without file sharing.

How it works

  1. Finish positioning your photo in MyDanceFrame and wait for Save / share to become available.
2. Tap Save / share to open your device's sharing options when supported. Choose a suitable photo or social app from the options your device offers.
  3. On iPhone, choose Save Image or Save to Photos if offered. If MySalsaHub displays an image preview instead, press and hold the image and use Save to Photos when your browser offers it.
  4. On Android, use an available photo app in the share sheet, or download the PNG and open it from Downloads or Files. Import it into your preferred gallery app if needed.
  5. If sharing or saving to Photos is unavailable, use Download my picture, Download my story or Download PNG in the preview. The browser may save the file in Downloads or Files instead of your photo gallery.
  6. Open Facebook or Instagram and select the saved image for your profile photo or Story. Check that it is saved before closing the editor.

Sharing and Photos options depend on the browser and device. Closing or cancelling the share sheet does not save the image. A download is the fallback, but it does not automatically add the file to every gallery app.

Install MySalsaHub and manage notifications

Add the site to your device and choose whether to receive ride, stay and other updates.

How it works

  1. Open App & notifications from the main navigation.
  2. Follow the installation instructions shown for your browser or device.
  3. Allow notifications when your browser asks for permission.
  4. Turn ride, stay and other update categories on or off for that device.

On iPhone or iPad, open MySalsaHub in Safari, use Share, then Add to Home Screen before enabling notifications.
